Diplomacy and Outside Relationships
Biigtigong Nishnaabeg already has a good relationship with the town of Marathon and we have joint council meetings every 3 months.
I , personally, have good relationships with the Mayor and council of Marathon. It is the art of diplomacy.
I also have developed good diplomatic relationships with our MP Patty Hajdu and our MPP Mike Gravelle. These relationships are needed in order to foster the good will and to make Biigtigong's interests foremost in their minds.
Anyone who sits on the land claim table with me knows how diplomatic I am but at the same time I never back down. EVER.
I also have an excellent relationship with all the North Superior Chiefs as well as with the Deputy Grand Chief and Grand Chief of the Anishinabek Nation . I also have an excellent relationship with the Ontario Regional Chief and the National Chief. These relationships are needed in order to push Biigtigong's Agenda forward.
