Water
We are in the design stage for a new water treatment plant and water source and intake. We have obtained funds for the design stage but have not received approval for the final stage as of yet. Class "C" estimated cost is $32 million. So I and the team will continue to advocate and fight for the additional funds. One of the hurdles we face in regards to certification is that the majority of the water infrastructure sits on the reserve but the treatment plant is on our private land and the low lift pump and intake will be on so called "crown land". This means multiple certifications and permits.
With a lot of advocacy and negotiations with ISC we can hopefully get approval and all necessary certs by summer of 2022, maybe earlier.
